Following a successful career as an England and Hong Kong International golfer, Kate moved into broadcasting and is now a presentation coach, commentator, voice over artist and MC based in Singapore.
Kate’s been living in Asia for the past 20 years working in both radio and television, and has covered over 100 international sports tournaments. Outside of presentation coaching, she travels extensively as the lead commentator on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). The energetic world of live television has equipped Kate with a strong understanding of the tools and techniques required to keep an audience engaged, and also how to react to unplanned events when under pressure.
Kate was the first female lead commentator on The Men’s European Tour at The 2018 World Super Six Perth, and appears on FOX Sports, Sky Sports, The ABC and Golf Channel in the US. Interviewing Rory Mcilroy, Phil Mickelson, Michelle Wie, Shane Warne, Roger Federer and the Williams’ sisters taught her invaluable lessons: “Prepare, practice and ask great questions.” Nobody is boring if you ask good questions.
Kate set up KBMomentum to help clients unlock their powerful speaking potential. She applies her 20 years of broadcasting experience to help clients get ready for prime time. Companies engage Kate to help their staff and teams build capabilities for presenting on stage, camera or in front of the media. Her clients are from the world of finance, sport, marketing, education and philanthropy.
Born and raised in London, Kate moved to the United States when she was 18 to attend Florida State University where she earned a double major in Spanish and French. She also has a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Westminster. Despite all of the above (or perhaps because of it), her recent golf handicap has shown no visual signs of any improvement for some considerable time.
